This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner in relation to an order dated 28.03.2025 passed by District Magistrate, Jaunpur inter alia ordering for recovery of Rs. 98,859.33 from respondent no.4, the then Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Adhanpur, Block Suithakala, Tehsil Shahganj, District Jaunpur. 2. Submissions have been made that once the finding was recorded regarding the defalcation of funds, merely passing of order for recovery was not justified, an action under Section 95(1)(g) of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 should have been taken against respondent no.4. 3.
