By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioners have prayed for following substantial relief:- (I) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to treat the petitioners to have been appointed on the post of Police Constable in the same pay scale as of 12469 of candidates having been appointed on the post of Police Constable in the Pay Bandof Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay of Rs. 2000 in the Level 3 of Rs. 22,400. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that he has no objection, in the event, direction is issued to the Competent Authority to consider the claim of petitioners provided petitioners make their individual representation before the Competent Authority. 4.
