The petitioner in this petition has made following prayer: i) To direct the respondents to step-up the pay of petitioner at par with his batch mate in terms of the circular dated 04.02.2010 issued by railway board from the date their batch mates started drawing higher pay together with arrears of pay. ii) To direct the respondents to pay the penal costs for compelling the petitioners to file the present petition and undertake unwarranted litigation. 2. The case of the petitioner is that the present case is covered by the decision of a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) No. 6762/2016 titled as Srinivas & Ors. Vs. Union of India & Ors. decided on 04.08.2016. 3. Pursuant to the directions of this Court, the said judgment has been placed on record. Accordingly, we hereby dispose of the present petition directing the respondents to step-up the pay of petitioner at par with his batch mates in terms of circular dated 04.02.2010 issued by Railway Board from the date the batch mates started drawing higher pay together with arrears of pay. The necessary orders shall be passed within four weeks from today. 5. In view of the above, petition is accordingly disposed of.
